General overview:

This new state of the art facility completed construction & started operations in May 2009. The purpose behind its design was to have premier facility capable of easily & efficiently handing the unique requirements of a routine flow of challenging & diverse 10-20 step Pharmaceutical synthesis processes. The working space is 1,200m2 (entire 3rd floor), & was designed to hold 30+ chemists & hoods. Some of its special features include 4 large isolated kilo-lab suites, a hydrogenation suite(multiple set-ups), & Chromatography area.

Air temperature & quality are fully controlled to protect both our chemists & reactions. Currently we have a team of 15 chemists on-site, including all levels(PhD, MS, & BS), & we are in-process of interviewing to increase this staff towards full occupancy. Our team is comprised of both western trained chemists(USA PhD & experience), & Native China trained from the area's best schools including Nanjing University, Beijing University & China Pharmaceutical University, etc. The interview process is carefully managed & very selective. The team Leader & Chief science officer is Dr Wensen Li.

Our chemists have access to the full range of analytical & literature searching tools, in order to ensure that the best process is designed & efficiently developed. All personnel are thoroughly trained on the concepts of western project confidentiality expectations, & employment requirements strictly re-enforcing these same expectations. We also have a natural confidentiality benefit, in-terms of our Nanjing location & very close ties to local universities & industry.

Project scope

We work both under price per kilo contracts & in FTE arrangements.

Our typical project involves 5-15 chemistry steps, & scale is anywhere from gram to kilo of final product. Early large scale intermediates can be produced outside in one of our production facilities (Lianyungang, Shangyu, Yiwu), & final process steps performed in the above mentioned kilo suites, as necessary. When & if needed, we can continue to scale-up the chemistry within our Lianyungang commercial production facility.

Raw material sourcing advantage description:

In-fact this is one of our most significant industry advantages. We have been sourcing raw materials in china & qualifying both suppliers & products, for more than 15 year's time. Our raw material sourcing database now holds records on more than 15,000 different molecules, & more than 5,000 different chinese suppliers. As part of our daily sourcing activities, our Nanjing team is required to "qualify suppliers", & place all related information into the database for future reference. All materials are tested, vendor performance monitored, & results assessed & placed into the database. The result of all these efforts gives us an ability to find local raw materials very quickly, while preventing wasted time in working with unreliable high risk suppliers. This has proven to greatly reduce our R&D & production leadtimes, while giving our teams a greater range of materials & suppliers to choose from. On special request from our close customer-partners, we also perform a customized sourcing & supplier selection service to fit their individual needs for purchasing china materials. This includes material lot to lot analysis work, packaging service, factory visits/pre-audits, & full export management including customs clearance & door to door delivery.
